On Saturday, 31 October 2026, Laddsworth will mark a special milestone in its history. Thirty-eight years ago, on 31 October 1988, staff and pupils left the school’s original premises, situated on the site of what is now Laddswood Lodge, and walked across the road into their brand-new classrooms at the school’s current location.

It is remarkable to reflect on how far Laddsworth has come since its humble beginnings 123 years ago, when lessons first took place on the back verandah of Miss Daisy Ladds’ home. From these modest beginnings, the school has grown into the vibrant and thriving community that it is today.
As Laddsworth reflects on this important chapter in its history, it celebrates the generations of pupils, staff and families who have played a part in shaping the school and contributing to its rich heritage. With a deep sense of pride in its past, Laddsworth looks forward to building on this legacy and continuing its journey of excellence for many years to come.
