‘Fury’ Raffle for 2018

Laddsworth Primary School participated in the Fury Raffle from May to July 2018. We would like to thank everyone who supported the raffle. An amount of R 40 310,80 was raised for our school.
Laddsworth pupils were awarded for selling the most tickets:
1st Prize: Bryn Horsley (Grade 1) won a Mountain Bicycle from Jowetts Cycles
2nd Prize: Lucy Baker (Grade 5) won a Liberty Mall Voucher
3rd Prize: Emma Lycett (Grade 6) won an Exclusive Books Voucher
Laddsworth is very grateful to The Fury Motor Group for their sponsorship and we look forward to their continued involvement with our school.

Silver at Golf Reef Rhythmic Gymnastics Invitational

Crystal Viljoen, a Grade 5 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School took part in the Golf Reef Rhythmic Gymnastics Invitational in Guateng on Saturday 4 August 2018. Crystal competed in the Level 9 Under 13 category: Clubs; Ball and Hoop, she received 2 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze Medal and an overall Silver Medal.

Winner of KZN Mini 3 Tournament

Caleb Cotton, a Grade 6 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, took part in the KZN Mini 3 Tennis Tournament in Durban from 20 to 22 July 2018. Caleb and his partner caused a huge upset, when they knocked out the number 1 and 2 seeds to win the U12 Doubles event.

Laddsworth pupils took part in the South African Society of Music Teachers Eisteddfod, in Pietermaritzburg from 31 July to 3 August 2018.

Kendra Tongue: Classical Piano Grade 2 received 1 Gold and 2 Silver Certificates.
Emma Lycett: Classical Piano Grade 3 received 1Gold and 1 Bronze Certificates.
Tamryn Edwards: Classical Piano Grade 1 received 2 Gold and 1 Silver Certificates.
Anna Hind: Classical Piano Pre-Grade 1 received 2 Gold Certificates.

Cubs Leaping Wolf Badge

Laddsworth pupils; Thomas Erasmus and Matthew Bishop, who are members of Hilton 1st Cubs and Scouts, completed their Leaping Wolf Badges. The Leaping Wolf is the highest badge a Cub can achieve. They were presented with their badges at the Annual KwaZulu-Natal Cubs awards presentation in Durban on the 29th July 2018.
