Grade 4 pupils at Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton participated in a colourful Taste Tour experience on Tuesday the 24th June 2014. After each completing a project about a country they dressed up to portray their chosen country and showcase it with a morning of food and entertainment from around the world.
On Laddsworth Primary School's Heritage Day children dress in outfits representing their heritage. The diverse cultures of South Africa featured prominently as did the dress of India and Britain. The Grade 5 teachers joined in by dressing up. Dancing, drumming, games of croquet and hoop throwing were amongst the activities which took place. The menu included braaivleis, samosas, milktart and sweetmeats..
Laddsworth Primary School's Trust Fund Golf Day took place at Howick Golf Club on Sunday 22nd June 2014 in gorgeous mid-winter sunshine. The successful fundraiser was organised by Laddsworth mum, Jo Jennings. Support from local businesses, staff, parents and pupils both past and present was gratefully received. The winning team of Harcourts Hilton representatives finished well with a score of 101.
The KwaZulu-Natal Botanical Gardens in Pietermaritzburg remains a popular destination for school groups to visit. Here Grade 3 pupils from Laddsworth Primary School hug a tree while learning about Wetlands on during school excursion.
Laddsworth Primary School hosted an Under 10 Soccer Tournament for ten Pietermaritzburg and country schools on Saturday the 21st June 2014. The Pelham Primary School team won the final by beating Laddsworth in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.
