The Laddsworth A Athletics Team participated at the Pelham Classic Inter-Schools Meeting on Saturday, 02 September 2017.
A few members of the team did extremely well:
Jodi Moreno broke the Under 10 - 1200m record
Ellen Oosthuizen equaled the record for the Under 10 – High Jump
Nothile Zondi came first in Under 11 Shot Put
Leah Stewart came first in the Under 11 1200m


Laddsworth B Team excels at Northern Park Inter-Schools Athletics

The Laddsworth B Athletics Team did extremely well at the Northern Park Inter-Schools Meeting on Saturday, 02 September in Pietermaritzburg.
Irie-Mae Bailey broke the Under 8 – 50m record.
Prizes and Certificates were awarded to the following pupils:
Sam Wessels : Under 7 – 75m
Irie-Mae Bailey : Under 7 – 75m
Isobel Armstrong : Under 10 – 1200m
Mark Conway : Under 12 - 1200m
Camryn Heafield : Under 13 – 1200m
Victrix Ludorum Under 11: Camryn Heafield

Laddsworth holds annual Inter-House Athletics

Laddsworth Primary School held its annual Inter-house Athletics on 22 and 23 August 2017. Many records were broken in the field and track events:
 Shot Put Boys Under 10 – Justin Scott (Kudu) – Distance 7.20m
 Shot Put Girls Under 11 – Nothile Zondi (Duiker) – Distance 8.44m
 High Jump Boys Under 9 – Stuart Temple (Kudu)- Height 1.09m
 High Jump Girls Under 10 – Ellen Oosthuizen (Oribi) – Height 1.21m
 150m Boys Under 9 – Michael Benadie (Duiker) – Time 24.91
 1200m Girls Under 10 – Jodi Moreno (Nyala) – Time 4m 30.75

Laddsworth pupils excel at SPUR MTB

On Sunday 27 August 2017, Laddsworth Grade 5 pupils, Omar Wilson, Jonothan Werth and Ross Stainthorpe took part in the (XCO) Spur MTB Schools Race, hosted by Girls High School in Pietermaritzburg. They all competed in the Sprogs (U12) race, in which they had to complete 5 laps of about 2km each. Omar won the race in a time of 22 minutes and 35 seconds.

Laddsworth Water Explorers

On Thursday 17 August the Laddsworth Water Explorer team did a presentation at Umgeni Valley for the WESSA Water Explorers. Laddsworth won R5000 for being selected as one of the top 5 teams in South Africa. The money will be used to buy additional rain water storage tanks for the school.
