Record breaking Senior Primary Gala

Laddsworth Primary School held the Senior Primary Inter-House Gala on Friday 14 February 2020. The four Sports Houses competed against each other and the results were as follows: 1st Kudu, 2nd Nyala, 3rd Duiker and 4th Oribi. A staggering 11 Records were broken at the Gala.

Laddsworth Hosts Mini Cricket Festival

Laddsworth Primary School hosted 32 teams at a Mini Cricket Festival on Tuesday 4 February 2020. Laddsworth fielded 5 Grade One teams and 6 Grade Two teams. The boys and girls had lots of fun improving their cricket skills.

Laddsworth Primary School played cricket fixtures against Clarendon Primary School on Friday 31 January and Saturday 1 February 2020. Our teams had some very good results against Clarendon, with the following boys excelling.
William Johnson (Grade 4), who played for the Under 10A team took 8 wickets (including 2 hat tricks) for 4 runs off 3 overs. Ross Keil (Grade 5) took 5 wickets for 5 runs and made 21 runs with the bat for the Under 11 B team.

Laddsworth Swimming Team excels at Umgungundlovu Gala

Laddsworth pupils excelled at the Umgungundlovu Primary Schools Gala, which was held at TWC on Thursday 30 January 2020.
• Fynn Stewart (Grade 4) achieved 2 Silver medals for Under 10 100m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly.
• Matt Bisset (Grade 5) received 2 Silver medals for Under 11 100m Backstroke and 50m Butterfly.
• Justin van der Merwe (Grade 6) received 2 Silver medals for Under 12 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle, and 1 Bronze medal for 50m Butterfly.
• Patrick Lamb (Grade 7) received 4 Gold medals for Under 13: 200m Backstroke, 100m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley. He also received a Silver medal for 50m Backstroke.
• Julia Rossouw (Grade 3) received a Silver medal for Under 9 50m Breaststroke.
• Anna May (Grade 5) received a Bronze medal for Under 11 100m Breaststroke.
• Irie-Mae Bailey (Grade 5) received a Bronze medal for Under 11 50m Freestyle.
• Tia Aurets (Grade 6) received a Silver medal for Under 12 100m Breaststroke.

Distinctions in Music Exams

Laddsworth pupils Anna May (Grade 5) and Kendra Tongue (Grade 7) took the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams in 2019.
Anna May achieved a distinction for Grade 1 Piano Performance and Kendra Tongue achieved a distinction for Grade 2 Piano Theory.
