Laddsworth pupils Grade 7 pupils Jodi Moreno, Adam Tilbury, Patrick Lamb and Joshua Tilbury (non-travelling reserve) were selected for the Umgungundlovu Midlands Tennis Team. They took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Tennis Tournament at Westridge Tennis Stadium, in Durban, from 28 February to 1 March 2020.


 

KZN Regional Irish Dance Competition

Alison Rennie, a Grade 2 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School took part in the KZN Regional Irish Dance Competition, which was held on Saturday, 29 February 2020 in Pinetown. Alison competed in a level above her age category and excelled by winning a Gold Medal for the Slip Jig and the Light Jig, Silver in the Single Jig and a Bronze in the Reel.

Kids Lit Quiz

Two teams from Laddsworth Primary School attended the annual Kids Lit Quiz, which was held at Athlone Primary School on Friday 28 February 2020. Apart from winning prizes in the various categories, the Grade Six team was placed third and the Grade Seven team fourth, respectively. Well done to our pupils who participated and gave credence to our motto, ‘Aim High’.

 

Maritzburg Swim Challenge

Laddsworth pupils took part in the Maritzburg Swim Challenge on Saturday 29 February 2020 at the Seals’ swimming pool in Pietermaritzburg.
Owen Hall (Grade 2) received a Silver Medal for Under 7 25m Breaststroke.
Julia Nicholson (Grade 3) received a Silver medal for Under 8 25m Breaststroke and a Bronze medal for 25m Backstroke.
Jonathan Day (Grade 4) received a Bronze medal for Under 9 100m Individual Medley and a Bronze medal for 25m Butterfly.

 

Fun at Camp!

Laddsworth Grade 7 learners went on an excursion to Greystone Camp and Adventure Centre from Tuesday 18 February to Friday 21 February 2020. They enjoyed a very busy programme, including a historical tour to Ford Durnford, team building and problem solving activities, leadership sessions, a hike to Giants Castle and a tour of the Wagondrift dam wall. The Grade 7 pupils learnt a great deal and had lots of fun.
